Super League 2026 – Round 4 preview, predictions and tips

Super League 2026 – Round 4 preview, predictions and tips

After the excitement of Vegas, it’s back to normality this week, as Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos join the other 12 Super League sides back in Europe.

Here’s a sneak peek at what to look forward to this weekend in Round 4…

*All odds are taken from Paddy Power and correct at time of writing on 3rd March 2026.

Thursday 5th March – Wakefield Trinity vs Hull FC – DIY Kitchens Stadium

Form guide

Wakefield were beaten 27-16 by Warrington in Round Three, and they’re 1-2 so far in 2026.

Meanwhile, Hull FC were narrowly beaten 16-17 at home by newly-promoted York Knights, to also be on a 1-2 record after the opening three rounds.

Team news

Mason Lino and Tray Lolesio are back this week for Wakefield. Tyson Smoothy misses out after a failed HIA, and Jordan Williams also drops out.

Harvey Barron and Jed Cartwight became the latest injury victims for Hull FC last weekend, while Liam Knight has been released from the remainder of his contract and returned to Australia. Ligi Sao is back from suspension, James Bell comes in for the first time in 2026 after injury, and Logan Moy is also named.

My prediction – Wakefield Trinity 20-12 Hull FC

If Wakefield are to kick on in 2026, they should be sniffing blood this week. The Black and Whites are ravaged by injury, and Trinity have to fancy their chances of taking advantage here.

Betting tips

Wakefield are just 4/9 for the win, so I’ll be getting on them in the half-time/full-time market instead, at 5/6. I’ll also get on Max Jowitt for an anytime try when the market opens.

Friday 6th March – York Knights vs Warrington Wolves – LNER Community Stadium

Form guide

York made it 2/3 in Super League ;ast weekend with a 17-16 win at Hull, to continue their remarkable start to life in the top flight.

After a week off due to Hull KR’s WCC explits, Warrington saw off Wakefield 27-16 to remain one of only two sides with a 100% record so far.

Team news

Squads haven’t been announced yet, but York will welcome back Scott Galeano and Jesse Dee this week. David Nofoaluma scored two tries on his debut last week, so will hope to keep his place.

There’s been no news from Warrington so far this week, so they should be unchanged from their win over Wakefield.

My prediction – York Knights 12-32 Warrington Wolves

The Knights have impressed so far this year, but against a side with Warrington’s ambitions for 2026, I don’t expect them to get anything.

Betting tips

Warrington should be safe with a -16 handicap at 1/1. I’ll be getting on Josh Smith for an anytime try as well when the market opens.

Friday 6th March – Leigh Leopards vs Catalans Dragons – Leigh Sports Village

Form guide

Leigh were humbled 54-0 by Wigan last week, which made it two losses from three games to start the year.

Catalans are also 1-2, after a 36-4 hammering at home by St Helens in Round Three.

Team news

Leigh are without 10 players this weekend, with Bailey Hodgson and Joe Ofahengaue the latest players to suffer injuries in last weekend’s loss to Wigan. Matt Davis also failed an HIA in that game, so he’s out too.

Catalans could be without Benjamin Garcia, who went off early in the defeat to Saints.

Benjamin Garcia is a doubt for Catalans Dragons this weekend.

My prediction – Leigh Leopards 16-10 Catalans Dragons

Despite all their injuries, I actually fancy the Leopards to edge this one at home. Catalans have suffered a couple of poor defeats in their last two games, and Leigh need to bounce back from their mauling at Wigan.

Betting tips

Leigh have been given a -8 handicap, which could be a bit touch and go. Instead, I’ll be backing Josh Charnley and Tesi Niu for anytime tries.

Saturday 7th March – Toulouse Olympique vs Wigan Warriors – Stade Ernest Wallon

Form guide

Toulouse have been one of the surprise packages in Super League so far, with two wins in their opening three games. They suffered their first loss last weekend, in an 18-6 defeat at Bradford Bulls.

Wigan have been flawless so far, with three wins from three games. Last week, they destroyed neighbours Leigh, 54-0.

Team news

Toulouse pair Pierre-Jean Lima and Paul Ulberg picked up injuries against Bradford, so both are doubtful this weekend.

Paul Ulberg is a doubt this week for Olympique.

Wigan have confirmed that Jai Field will be missing for the next four to six weeks with appendicitis.

Jai Field will definitely be missing this week for Wigan.

My prediction – Toulouse Olympique 6-36 Wigan Warriors

I’d expect Wigan to continue their strong start to the year here, despite Jai Field’s absence and Olympique’s own strong start to the year. Anything other than a comfortable away win would be a surprise.

Betting tips

Wigan should be ok with a -24 handicap at 10/11. I can’t ignore Zach Eckersley in the anytime try market either after his impressive start to 2026.

Saturday 7th March St Helens vs Bradford Bulls – Brewdog Stadium

Form guide

Saints have started the year with a 2-1 record, and picked up a very impressive 36-4 win over Catalans Dragons last weekend.

Bradford Bulls have a 2-1 record as well, and their 18-6 win over Toulouse last week lifted them into 4th.

Team news

Alex Walmsley is the latest St Helens player to join the club’s growing injury list after suffering an injury in the warm-up last week. Noah Stephens and Jake Wingfield are close to a return, but this week might come too soon.

Alex Walmsley will be missing for Saints this week.

Bradford will be missing Ebon Scurr, who’s ruled out for six weeks. Otherwise, no one picked up any injuries in their win over Toulouse last weekend.

Ebon Scurr is ruled out for Bradford Bulls.

My prediction – St Helens 30-10 Bradford Bulls

The Bulls have started the year well, but I can’t see them troubling Saints too much in this one. St Helens picked up an impressive win in Perpignan last weekend, and I’d expect them to back it up here.

Betting tips

Saints should be safe with a -22 handicap at 10/11. I’m backing Lewis Murphy for an anytime try too.

Sunday 8th March – Leeds Rhinos vs Castleford Tigers – AMT Headingley

Form guide

The Rhinos were outstanding in Las Vegas last week, as they destroyed Hull KR, 58-6. That made it two wins from three to start the year.

Meanwhile, the Tigers picked up their first victory of the season with a 34-8 win over Huddersfield Giants.

Team news

Leeds are likely to be unchanged from their win in Vegas. Jack Bird could come into the squad for his Rhinos debut, but after last week’s display it’s hard to see who would drop out.

Liam Hood took a blow to the eye in Castleford’s win last week, so he could be a doubt. Otherwise the Tigers are likely to be unchanged. Ashton Golding is likely to retain his place after a tryscoring debut last week.

Ashton Golding should make his second Tigers appearance this week.

My prediction – Leeds Rhinos 24-12 Castleford Tigers

The Rhinos will be buzzing after last week’s win in Vegas, and while there could be a minor hangover, I’m expecting them to get the job done fairly comfortably here.

Betting tips

I’m not entirely convinced by Leeds with a -16 handicap, so I’ll be sticking to tryscorers. Maika Sivo looks a shoo-in after six tries in two games, while Harry Newman will be my other pick.

Sunday 8th March – Huddersfield Giants vs Hull KR – Accu Stadium

Form guide

The Giants have yet to get off the mark after three games, with their 34-8 loss at Castleford last week described as ‘absolutely rubbish’ by coach Luke Robinson.

The Robins are winless as well from their opening two games, including last week’s 58-6 drubbing by Leeds in Las Vegas. They did win the WCC against Brisbane Broncos between their two Super League defeats though.

Team news

Zac Woolford suffered a blow to the head in Huddersfield’s loss to the Tigers last week. Sam Halsall also picked up a hamstring injury, which is likely to keep him out this weekend.

Sam Halsall is likely to be missing for the Giants this weekend.

Hull KR didn’t suffer any major injury concerns last week, so it’s likely to be an unchanged squad for them this weekend.

Hull KR were humbled in Las Vegas last weekend.

My prediction – Huddersfield Giants 6-38 Hull KR

If the Robins were playing anyone other than Huddesfield this week I’d be concerned. However, the Giants are winless and ravaged by injury, so I expect the Quadruple winners to bounce back comfortably here.

Betting tips

Hull KR are 1/1 with a -20 handicap, which I’m happy to back this week. I’ll also be getting on Joe Burgess for an anytime try again.
