McNamara signs contract extension
Catalans Dragons coach, Steve McNamara has signed a new two-year contract to stay in the south of France.
The former England head coach is the longest-serving coach in Super League, after arriving in Perpignan back in 2017, and his new contract will take him to the end of the 2026 season with the Dragons.
Since McNamara’s arrival, the Dragons have gone from relegation contenders to one of the competition’s strongest sides, having lifted the Challenge Cup and reached two of the past three Grand Finals during his reign so far.
They started their 2024 campaign with a 16-10 victory over Warrington Wolves last weekend, and they’re heading to London to face the newly-promoted Broncos in round two on Friday night.
