Super League Play-offs 2026 – Week one preview, predictions and tips
It’s that exciting time of the year now where it’s all knockout rugby from here. Eight teams have packed up for 2026, six remain, and after this weekend we’ll be down to four.
Leeds and Wigan have a weekend off, so it’s down to the sides who finished 3rd to 6th to slug it out.

Friday 18th September – Wakefield Trinity vs Leigh Leopards
Form guide
Wakefield rounded out the season with a 19-8 away win over the Leopards last weekend. That victory saw Trinity finish the regular season in 4th, with a 19-8 record.
Leigh finished one place below in 5th. They finished the campaign four points behind Trinity, with a 17-10 record.

My prediction – Wakefield Trinity 16-12 Leigh Leopards
I’m struggling to split these two sides, but when that’s the case I usually lean towards the home side. Wakefield also finished the season with three straight wins, while Leigh lost two of their last three, so Trinity are in slightly better form coming into this.
Betting tips
I think this will be close, so I’m backing Trinity to win by 1-7 points at 7/2. There are some big odds on tryscorers too, so I’m getting on Umyla Hanley for an anytime score for Leigh, which is 12/5.
Saturday 19th September – Warrington Wolves vs Hull KR
Form guide
Warrington finished the year with a 26-14 home win over Toulouse, which saw them cement 3rd spot. They finished with a 20-7 record over the regular season.
Last year’s champions Hull KR were beaten 36-12 by St Helens last weekend. They finished with four losses from their last five games of the regular season. They finished 6th in the table, with a 16-11 record.

My prediction – Warrington Wolves 30-18 Hull KR
If Hull KR turn up, they could easily win this game by double digits. However, going on form across the whole season, it’s impossible not to back the Wire in this one. They put 34 points on the Robins in both of their Sregular season games this year, and they’re in much better form coming into this game.
Betting tips
I’ll take Warrington with a -4 handicap all day long at 10/11. The tryscorer markets aren’t open yet, but when they do I’m backing Josh Thewlis for an anytime score.
