Super League 2026 – Round 10 preview, predictions and tips
So, we’re into the second third of the season now and the table has really started to take shape.
There are no surprises in the bottom five, although expect plenty of reshuffling between now and September. Above them, Leigh Leopards and Hull FC will be hoping to kick on and push for the top six, which is looking very congested.
Surprisingly, Wigan are propping up the play-off places, but with just four points separating them from leaders Leeds Rhinos, there’s still plenty to play for heading into the summer months.

Thursday 30th April – Hull KR vs Castleford Tigers
Form guide
The Robins have found form after a slow start to the season. Their 48-12 win at Bradford last week has lifted them to 5th, and it was their fourth league victory in a row.
Cas continue to blow hot and cold, and having beaten Wigan two weeks ago, they were hammered 50-10 at home by Hull FC last weekend. They sit 12th with a 3-6 record so far.
Team news
Hull KR make two changes from last week’s win at Bradford. Jordan Dezaria misses out after failing his HIA, while Bill Leyland has joined St Helens on loan. Oliver Gildart and Jack Charles come in to the squad.
Lots of changes this week for Castleford with Semi Valemei, Liam Hood, George Lawler, Jack Ashworth, Jenson Windley and George Hirst all dropping out. New signings Tyler Dupree, Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e and Tom Nicholson-Watton all come straight in, and there’s a return for Ashton Golding as well.
My prediction – Hull KR 36-12 Castleford Tigers
I can’t see anything other than a home win here. The Robins have been resurgent in recent weeks, and despite some impressive new signings, I can’t see Cas having enough to seriously trouble them.
Betting tips
Peta Hiku’s been in good tryscoring form recently, and at 13/10, he’s much better value than the rest of the backline. I’ll also be getting on Jez Litten for an anytime try at 7/4.
Friday 1st May – Leeds Rhinos vs Wakefield Trinity
Form guide
The Rhinos are flying high at the top of the table, and their 46-4 win over Catalans Dragons last week made it 102 points in just two games, and four straight victories in Super League.
Wakefield, meanwhile, were beaten 18-12 by St Helens in their last outing. That ended a run of five straight wins in Super League, and they remain 4th – just two points off top spot.
Team news
Leeds have allowed nine players to head out on loan this week, but that doesn’t affect the matchday squad with Brad Arthur expected to name the same 17 for a fifth straight game.
Wakefield have made three changes to their squad this week. Tom Johnstone, Seth Nikotemo and Ellis Lingard all drop out. Mason Lino returns, and there are call-ups for youngsters Robbie Brook and Zack Clegg.
My prediction – Leeds Rhinos 22-16 Wakefield Trinity
This should be the game of the round and I’m expecting a close contest. Trinity have already knocked the Rhinos out of the Challenge Cup this year, but with home advantage this week and a consistent squad, I’m backing Leeds to get the job done.
Betting tips
Leeds have been given a -14 handicap in this one, which looks huge to me. Instead, I’ll be backing Wakefield at +14, which is 10/11. For a slightly riaky one, I’ll also be going for the 1-7 winning margin, which is 5/1. You can cover yourself with an 8-14 margin as well, which means you’ll still more than double your money. I really can’t see it being 15+, but that’s how the bookies are tipping this one.
Friday 1st May – St Helens vs York Knights
Form guide
Saints made it three straight wins in Super League with their 18-12 success over Wakefield last week. That victory lifted them to 2nd.
York had an impressive win of their own as they saw off Toulouse 38-14. That ended a run of five straight defeats for the newly-promoted side, who are up to 10th.
Team news
St Helens make two changes this week, including the return of Jack Welsby after injury. Bill Leyland also comes straight into the squad after returning on loan from Hull KR. Alfie Sinclair and Billy Keeley drop out.
York have named just 18 players in their squad this week. Sam Wood, Josh Griffin and Kieran Hudson drop out, but Matty Foster could make his club debut.
My prediction – St Helens 48-10 York Knights
Anything other than a comfortable Saints win would be a surprise here. The Knights have been decimated by injury, while Saints have started welcoming their big guns back in recent weeks.
Betting tips
Saints should be fine with a -26 handicap at 10/11. I’m also tipping Tristan Sailor for an anytime try when the market opens.
Saturday 2nd May – Wigan Warriors vs Bradford Bulls
Form guide
Wigan are in abysmal form, and last week’s 23-6 loss at Warrington was their fourth in a row in Super League. They’ve dropped to 6th in the table.
Bradford are struggling too, and they’ve also lost four in a row. Following last week’s 48-12 loss to Hull KR, they’re down in 11th.
Team news
Squads haven’t been announced for this one yet, but Wigan have confirmed this week that Liam Marshall and Dayon Sambou will both be out for at least eight weeks through injury. Harry Smith and Sam Walters will both serve the last game of their three-match bans too.
Bradford are struggling with injuries as well, but they’ve managed to bring in Ben McNamara on loan from Leigh Leopards this week. He should slot straight into the halves with Rowan Milnes, Jayden Nikorima and Joe Keyes all missing.
My prediction – Wigan Warriors 22-10 Bradford Bulls
Despite their struggles, the Warriors should have too much for the newly-promoted Bulls. Bradford have been severely hit by injuries, and if Wigan don’t win this one, then it’s a full-blown crisis at the Brick.
Betting tips
I’m going nowhere near the handicap market in this one, which has Wigan at -28. No one who’s watched the Warriors in recent weeks can feel comfortable backing that. Instead, I’ll be going for anytime tries for Jake Wardle and Liam Farrell when the market opens.
Saturday 2nd May – Catalans Dragons vs Leigh Leopards
Form guide
The Dragons were beaten 46-4 by Leeds last time out, following back-to-back home wins. They sit 7th, and are only outside the play-off spots on points difference.
Leigh have bounced back from a poor run of form to win their last two games. They beat Huddersfield 30-16 last week, which leaves them in 9th – two points off the play-off places.
Team news
Again, it’s too early for official squad news, but Catalans will definitely be without Ben Garcia after he failed his HIA last weekend. Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e also left the club this week to move to Castleford.
Leigh lost Robbie Mulhern to a calf injury last week, so he’s a doubt. Ben McNamara has also been allowed to head to Bradford on loan. David Armstrong made a successful return for the reserves last week, so he could be back, while Umyla Hanley and Tesi Niu are also close to comebacks.
My prediction – Catalans Dragons 30-18 Leigh Leopards
I’m tipping the Dragons to get the job done at home in this one. Leigh have picked up a couple of good wins in the past two weeks, but Catalans have won four out of five on their own patch, including victories over Warrington and Hull KR.
Betting tips
I’m happy to jump on Catalans with a -4 handicap at 10/11. I’m also backing them in the half-time/full-time market at 11/10.
Saturday 2nd May – Huddersfield Giants vs Warrington Wolves
Form guide
After a brief resurgence, the Giants have lost their last two games. They were beaten 30-16 by Leigh last weekend, which sees them sitting in 13th.
Warrington, meanwhile, bounced back from defeat at Catalans to beat Wigan 23-6 last time out. They remain 3rd, with just two losses from their opening eight games.
Team news
No news out of the Huddersfield Giants camp so far. Chris Patolo escaped a ban for late contact on the passer last weekend, so he should be available.
Warrington lost Cai Taylor-Wray to injury during the victory over Wigan, so he’s unlikely to make it this week. George Williams remains a long-term absentee, and may not make it back before the end of the year.
My prediction – Huddersfield Giants 14-42 Warrington Wolves
This should be a fairly routine win for the Wire. They’re flying high, while the Giants are struggling at the wrong end of the table.
Betting tips
QWarrington should be very safe with a -10 handicap at 10/11. I’ll be backing Josh Thewlis for an anytime try as well when the market opens.
Sunday 3rd May – Hull FC vs Toulouse Olympique
Form guide
Hull FC got off to a great start under interim coach Andy Last, with a 50-10 win at Castleford last week. That victory sees them sitting in 8th.
Meanwhile, Toulouse were beaten 38-14 at York, which made it seven straight losses. They’re bottom of the table, but only on points difference.
Team news
Hull FC will definitely be without Ligi Sao, who failed his HIA in the win over Castleford last week.
Toulouse lost Tyler Dupree this week, after the loanee completed a permanent move to Castleford.
My prediction – Hull FC 38-16 Toulouse Olympique
I’m expecting a comfortable home win here. The Black and Whites should be in and around the play-off spots when it gets to the business end of the season, while Olympique will just be hoping to avoid finishing 14th, so I don’t expect any upsets here.
Betting tips
There’s not much value in this one yet, so I’m backing Lewis Martin and Davy Litten for anytime tries when the market opens.
